Jesus Christ, let it die.

Stacking makes no sense.

How does it not make sense/have no purpose when I have 50+ sigils sitting on my characters/storage taking up space? I can't sell them because of max storage. What do I do with them? Also I don't feel like buying bags for my pvp characters when sigils take up all the room holding halls and I have to start deleting items I win.

What do you do with them? Easy, give them away. Trash them. If you have 1 million in cash, you need a life or stop eBaying money.

Linsey Murdock stated why Runes are non-stacking in the storage, I assume it's the same reason for sigil. That is, to prevent hording and therefore increasing prices of the item which then means the horders get lots of money.

Stop hording horder.

Max Storage is a pretty pitiful reason. Go buy some more of those zkeys, they clear out your max storage pretty quick. Also, if you you have storage maxed, complaining about having to buy measly bags is pretty lame.

And if you come back complaining about how your storage is crammed full of zkeys, then you will probably get laughed off the board.

It would make sense to make them stackable, it's taking up room for a lot of people and there's surely no reason for people to oppose having more inventory/storage room?

ok fair enough, i still think a hall should cost at least 50k though, thats not alot for a whole guild.

On original topic, i dont see why not, theres plenty of sigils to go round since it drops 3 times as much so why not.
Sorry I jump in so late, but I was quickly scrolling down the first page to see anything interesting was said and read this. 50k for a hall? That's ridiculous, anyone with the competent playing skills of a retard seahorse can fart out 50k within an hour, or less preferably , now think 100 people doing it for a hall? A hall should be expensive, it's pretty important, and as far as I have encountered so far, important stuff should be expensive, with the exception of water, food and oxygen.

Ok, on topic now, I don't think they should be stackable, they aren't for a reason, and that's to prevent hoarders from hoarding too much. As far as I can read it, you hoarders are probably looking at ~100 sigils each, if not way more. So, making 'em stackable will only make it worse, and indeed cause people to stick to em like MMORPG addicts to their game.

So, \unsigned

heh, anyone remember the old days where sigils cost around 100K? Man prices dropped fast when new guilds stopped being created.

Anyways I disagree for reasons already stated, your trying to horde an item that doesn't need to be horded, put it into the economy and put your money into something else. You only need 1 sigil if your trying to use it properly so stacking isn't needed.

/signed I want money through artificial shortage!!

Hell if anything this is actually good for the game since sigil is the only thing that can not be farmed with bots. All these people not signing this is probably running a business selling ectos for real life cash and would hate to see sigils being another currency sink which would devalue their business

sigil hoarders>ecto hoarders. This leads to less bots GG. And this can actually lead more players to PvP as their endgame due sigil price inflation(powerful currency/money/epeen is a huge motivation for playing).

You only get one guild or membership in one guild at a time. There really is no reason to hold on to more than one at a time. The only thing I see coming out of this is another pseudo-currency we don't need.

This item is meant to be either used or sold.

There's absolutely no valid reason to keep more than one, so it's fine as it is.

Nope. There are items that you DEFINITELY need to stack.
For example, with materials you will need more than one, and you'll need to save them over time while you gather them.
It's literally impossible to have 350 unstacked leather when we only have 45 inventory slots in our bags. You NEED to stack those.
To try out dye combinations before buying it, you need at least 3 of each, and having them unstacked would be greatly unpractical.
Trophies? You need to gather at least 5 most of the time, and in some cases 250 of them. How can you keep 250 if you don't stack them?
Consumables, summoning stones, scrolls, Sweets, Party items, booze?? If you plan on using them, you are probably either getting a title or keeping them for their usefulness, and since you'll probably carry more than one of each, it would be insane to have them unstacked.

But you can't have more than one Guild Hall, and you are not supposed to change halls often. So, once you get your hall, you sell the rest to the trader, so those that can't or won't play HA can get one too.

So what can be the reason to made them stackable other than hoarding and speculation?
Winning Streaks in HA so you need to store them before selling them? No, there's a Sigil trader in the HA outpost.
Keeping them all to change you guild hall every so often? Keeping the trader supplied is way more important.

I can't think of any other reason. Can you?
